About Altar Servers

Altar Servers:

• assist the Priest in the celebration of the Mass so the Liturgy can be conducted with grace and reverence.
• help make the Sacrifice of the Mass and other Liturgical celebrations meaningful and faith enhancing for the parish community.
• assist the priest by setting the Altar, carrying the processional cross and a variety of other tasks when asked.

When are Altar Servers Needed:
The Altar Servers assist primarily at weekend Masses. They occasionally serve at weddings and other special liturgies.

Who can Participate:
The ministry is open to all interested students -male or female – 5th grade through high school, who would like to enhance the worship of our faith.
