The Human Needs Ministry is dedicated to helping meet community and individual needs in the Suffield area and beyond. The ministry members meet the first Tuesday of most months to plan and evaluate annual and special projects. These include monthly food drives and nursing home activities, semi-annual (seasonal) clothing collections, Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets and Christmas gifts for individual family members. We hold an annual Monetary School Supplies Collection and support and contribute to the Easter Basket program. When special needs arise, we consider how we can be supportive. This has included gathering supplies for our Troops being deployed and special needs for parishioners and families in need as requested by Suffield Community Aid. Our services are available to SCA to help with packing senior holiday food baskets and special community food collections. We do not offer transportation but put individuals in touch with Nutmeg Senior Rides and/or Suffield Community Aid for transportation services. New members are welcome; call the church office for further information.
